Thank you to Northumberland National Park Authority for their support in funding two historical tents for our Stone Age and Romano-British sessions.
Using these shelters has increased the visual impact of our ‘Meet The Ancestors’ programme at events, schools and museums. When we provide historical sessions, visitors can walk into a space their ancestors would have lived in, they can feel and smell the leather, experience the cosy darkness and imagine being around a camp fire of a night time. The tents make our ‘Meet The Ancestors’ experience more realistic. It is one thing to describe how our ancestors lived, it is something else to demonstrate how they lived with examples like these tents. It helps people to connect to their ancestors.
Thank you once again NNPA for all your help and support. We always enjoy working with you and we look forward to future projects together.
