HADRIAN’S WALL COUNTRY BUS UPDATE
Northumberland County Council, Hadrian’s Wall Trust and the Northumberland National Park Authority have been working together to make sure the AD122 Hadrian’s Wall Country Bus runs again this summer. Funding from Northumberland County Council and Northumberland National Park Authority will ensure that a core service runs regularly between Hexham and Walltown along the Wall. The service will connect with other public transport services for onward journeys to Newcastle and Carlisle.
It will run daily throughout the Easter holiday between Saturday 12 and Monday 21 April
Weekends only between Saturday 26 April and Sunday18 May
Daily from Saturday 24 May to Sunday 31 August
Then Weekends only to Sunday 28 September
The Hadrian’s Wall Country Bus Partnership would like to emphasise the point that it is in everyone’s interest, whether they are a resident or business along the Wall, to promote the service to friends and customers if the service is to continue in the years ahead.
Once the timetable has been finalised and the fares confirmed, details will be made available on:
and from local tourist information centres and businesses
